India International ranking in corruption perception Index
Transparency International organisation had released list of Corruption Perception Index for 2016. There is significant improvement in India’s international ranking for corruption perception Index. India’s score has been improved form 38 in 2015 to 40 in 2016. Score runs from 0 to 100. Score to different countries given on the basis of press freedom, access to information about public expenditure, judicial systems, functioning of public institutes etc.
Survey was conducted by the Transparency International organisation in 176 countries and India’s new rank for 2016 in corruption perception Index is 79. Transparency International organisation use World Bank data, World Economic forum data & other important institutes data to check corruption level in public sector of various countries.
Some keypoints from list of Corruption Perception Index
1) Belarus, Brazil & China shared the smae ranks as India.
2) New Zealand & Denmark topped the list with score of 90.
3) Somalia get score of only 10 & declared as the most corrupt country of world.
